Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer sliding scale rates?

Yes, I offer sliding scale rates ranging from $100 to $200 per session, based on financial need and availability. Sliding scale spots are limited and may not be applicable if you plan to seek out-of-network insurance reimbursement. Feel free to reach out to discuss current availability and what might work best for your situation.

How long does each therapy session take?

Talk therapy sessions are approximately 50 minutes long. Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) sessions typically range from 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the nature of the issue being addressed. Session length may vary slightly based on individual needs and what we agree upon in advance.

What happens in the first session?

What if you are not a good fit for me?

Our first session together depends on the type of therapy you choose.

For traditional talk therapy, the first session is called an intake. This is a time for us to explore your reasons for starting therapy, discuss current and past challenges, review relationships and family dynamics, and begin identifying goals to guide our work together.

For Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), we dive in right away—no intake session is needed. ART sessions focus immediately on resolving the specific issue you want to address, allowing for a faster and more targeted healing process.

Regardless of the approach, our time together is always collaborative, and we will tailor sessions to best support your needs.

How many sessions do I need?

The therapeutic relationship is a key part of the healing process, and it’s important that you feel comfortable and supported in our work together. If we find that I’m not the right fit for you, or if your needs fall outside my scope of expertise, I’m happy to provide referrals to other trusted professionals who may better serve you. Your well-being is my priority, and I want you to get the support that’s best for you.

What is your treatment modality?

I take an integrative approach, tailoring treatment modalities to each individual’s unique needs. My work is grounded in Narrative Therapy, Attachment Theory, and various Systems Theories, allowing us to explore how your experiences and relationships shape your present. Additionally, I offer Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)—a powerful, gentle, and effective method for resolving both past and present issues, often leading to rapid and lasting change.

The number of sessions varies for each person and situation. Many clients start with weekly sessions, then transition to biweekly or monthly maintenance sessions as they make progress. Some choose to continue therapy long-term, while others conclude once their goals are met.

With Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), resolution is often achieved in just 1 to 5 sessions per targeted issue. ART can be used on its own or combined with traditional talk therapy, depending on your needs. Throughout the process, we’ll collaborate to determine the best approach and pacing for you.
